Employees have to follow a dress code wearing the correct uniform free of charge. Smoking and other unhygienic acts are not permitted in or near the factory. Employees have to keep clean and hygienic. They must report any quality or contamination problem to a line leader or manufacturing manager. The company will assist any employee wishing for counselling, support and information. An employee who goes against rules and regulation shall be taken under disciplinary procedures.

Superannuation
Arnott’s Superannuation Plan is a fund to contribute the annual salary, inclusive of shift rates for preservative maintenance, afternoon and night shift employees shall be the basis on which the contributions are made. It allows employees to reduce their rate of pay by an amount that they would elct in writing to sacrifice each pay period. This would allow the Company to make a superannuation contribution equal to this amount for the benefit of the employee to a fund in accordance with this clause.The salary sacrifice arrangements will be implemented without additional cost to the Company and without disadvantages to the employee. These arrangements shall be reviewed by the parties every 12 months.

Employees must abide by safety work instructions, site safety rules, supporting safety systems and wearing the correct protective uniform and safety equipment. Company ensures the appropriate training and development e.g. committee representatives and first aid to continue the improvement in site safety.
Working hours
Employees work 38 hours a week from Monday to Friday plus a 4 hour per week and a 6 Saturday shift for the commitment and flexibility required of employees. There are casual and part time opportunities. There is also overtime pay.
Shifts
There is a 5 day 3 shift basis for flexible work from 5am to 6.30pm. If employees work in the afternoon the salaries increase by 15. The salaries are increased for 30% if employees work night shifts. Employees are allowed Leave for public holidays, annual leave, long service leave, sick leave and special leave, parental leave and jury service.
